Is the word “risk” inherently negative? When you take a risk you are you exposing yourself to a negative result. Or, are you exposing yourself to a positive result?

I think it’s safe to say that, when using the word risk, you are highlighting the possibility of something bad happening, in spite of the possibility for gain.

Personally, I think taking more risk results in life long satisfaction, or maybe life long disappointment? I guess its a risk everyone has to take.
